Injured Manchester City Striker Sergio Aguero will not return to action at least for the foreseeable two months.
This means Aguero will miss the first two months of 2020/21 Premier League action due to the knee injury he suffered June during Manchester City’s match against Burnley.
Already, the striker failed to take part in City Champions League games played last month, eventually won by Bayern Munich and did not feature in 10 domestic matches last month.
Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola says that it is now uncertain City’s 32-year-old record goalscorer will be fit until November.
“We knew the injury was difficult,” Guardiola told BBC Sport.
“He still hasn’t had one training session with us and Sergio is not a guy who regains his physical condition quickly. He has been out for a long time, so maybe in one or two months he will be ready.”
Aguero’s obvious replacement, Gabriel Jesus, scored five goals in 12 games at the end of last season.
