Football Association of Malawi President Walter Nyamilandu on Wednesday totally expressed delight with Peter Banda’s move to Moldovan National Division side FC Sheriff Tiraspol.
Peter Banda completed the six-month loan move to the Moldovan National Division side on Tuesday following successful month long trials in that country as he joined compatriot Charles Petro.
Peter is naturally a gifted football player and I have no doubt that he will be a huge success wherever he goes, Nyamilandu told www.swammw.com.
Nyamilandu went on to attribute Peter Banda’s success story to the player’s unquestionable hard work, professionalism, discipline, hunger, love and thirst for the game.
“He started playing for the Flames at a very tender age having gone through the ranks of the youth national teams U17, U20 and U23.
“Sweet news such as these always come due to hard work, professionalism, discipline, hunger, love and thirst for the game.
And I’m sure Peter Banda’s landmark achievement forecast a bright future for the country’s football and will in no uncertain terms reenergize other young and talented players.”
Bullets and FC Sheriff came to an agreement on the player’s temporary move until end of July 2021, with an exclusive option reserved by FC Sheriff for the Malawi international’s permanent transfer.
In 2019, Peter Banda joined Nyasa Big Bullets from the first division side Griffin Young Stars.
