Mzuzu Warriors held at home

It was kind of a sweet dance as Mzuzu Warriors were victors over visitors Mighty Tigers at Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday today.

It was the first visit away for the Kanjeza township boys of Blantyre, who had also 3 points in mind. But that could be easier for the Warriors who were comfortably packed at their base.

Taniel Mhango scored for Mzuzu Warriors at 11 minutes in the first half to make it exciting for the hosts, having gotten the goal in the first half.

But Kalanzo Zonda scored for Tigers at 21 minutes in the same half, to make it equal.

Going on with the match and in the second half, Taniel Mhango scored another one for the home team to make it 2-1 until full time.

The Warriors have played 4 games and amassed 4 points. They are on number 9 while Mighty Tigers continue to wander in the wilderness, now on position 14 with 3 points out of 4 games. They have scored 3 goals and conceded 5, while Mzuzu Warriors have scored 4 and conceded 5 goals.
