Illustrious Malawi Queens international Mwai Kumwenda is Puma brand ambassador after the Vixens Melbourne shooter sealed a two year endorsement deal with Puma.
The monetary value of the agreement remains under laps and Kumwenda is evasive to disclose the figure.
Nonetheless, the agreement means Mwai is the world famous German sportswear manufacturer’s poster girl.
She was quoted by Nation News Paper of Monday as saying: “This is a dream come true. I have signed a two-year deal with Puma and I am very excited.
“I am happy with the deal and very excited to work with Puma which is a big sports institution across the globe and dressing up in Puma attire feels really great.
“Puma brand has been working with superstars such as Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Neymar and Usain Bolt and it is flattering to be among such greats.”
This is not the first time the Queens top shooter has landed lucrative brand ambassadorial deals.
In 2018, the former Airtel Malawi brand ambassador, likewise penned a deal with Austrian Nissan motor vehicle franchise dealers Berwick Nissan.
Late last year, dazzling goaler Mwai Kumwenda re-launched back hooked on her charge as commandant of the Melbourne Vixens’ attack after re-signing with the team.
Despite sitting out for most of 2019 as she recovered from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in August 2018, Mwai, the fan favorite has produced sparkling performance since her return to the game after recovery.
