Flames International and Nyasa Big Bullets ace Peter Banda has landed a six month loan deal at Moldovan National Division side FC Sheriff Tiraspol.
Peter Banda’s move to FC Sherriff Tiraspol was completed on Tuesday, the club said in a statement posted on its website.
The 2019 TNM Super League Player of the Season had been in Moldova attending trials from mid-January and was involved in three pre-season matches, providing two goal assists.
a statement posted on the Club’s Facebook Account said: “FC Sheriff’s leadership has decided to sign an employment agreement with Malawi national team player, Peter Banda.
“The parties signed an employment agreement, and Peter became part of the large family of FC Sheriff.
“FC Sheriff Team is pleased to welcome Peter and wish him great success in our club’s yellow-black T-shirt.”
Bullets and FC Sheriff came to an agreement on the player’s temporary move until end of July 2021, with an exclusive option reserved by FC Sheriff for the Malawi international’s permanent transfer.
He now joins compatriot and ex- teammate at Nyasa Big Bullets (the 2019 TNM Super League Best Defender), spotted by FC Sherriff Tiraspol barely after playing his maiden top flight league football.
In 2019, Peter Banda joined Nyasa Big Bullets from the first division side Griffin Young Stars and went on to scope the Best Player of the Season award, beating teammates Chimango Kayira and Chimwemwe Idana..
Last year the Moldovan Champions took part in the UEFA Champions League qualification round, but failed to progress.
