Nyasa Big Bullets versatile Precious Sambani will miss the remainder of the season due to injury, head coach Callisto Pasuwa says.

Bullets and Flames versatile left back sustained a suspected fracture to the knee and a cruciate ligament sustained at Kamuzu during a TNM Super League encounter against Ekwendeni Hammers on Saturday, May 30, 2021.

The Bullets coach says he expects full details regarding Sambani’s injury on Sunday after his MRI scan in Lilongwe but told the media: “But even without full details, it doesn’t look good and there is a 95 percent chance that he won’t be available for the remainder of the season.

“It’s a huge blow. He has been one of the top performers in the ongoing season. Sambani was contributing to both attacking and defending phases of play.

“You could see him doing well in the defending third; attacking third and he will be missed. I wish him the quickest recovery said Pasuwa.”

The former Namiwawa FC and Be Forward Wanderers left back, has three goals to his credit for the people’s team in the ongoing 2020/2021 TNM Super League with a number of assists as well.

In February this year, Sambani reportedly passed trials at Golden Arrows in South Africa and was due to join the club in June this year.

It remains to be seen how badly this injury may affect his prospective departure to join his supposedly new club (Golden Arrows) in South Africa.
