Chitipa United says it is importing the new consignment of the club’s replica jerseys from Turkey after the initial orders sold like hot cakes.
The first consignment received a warm response that saw the club realising about 3 million kwacha from the sales of the replicas. .
Supporters and High profile individuals are among those that massively contributed to the successful implementation of the fundraising initiative by coughing K15,00,00 to get one.
Notably, Sports Minister Ulemu Mangama, his cabinet collegue Timothy Mtambo and FAM President Walter Nyamilandu Manda, are among those that supported the course.
General Secretary for the club, Duma Ngoma, told Swammw.com that there has been demand for more jerseys and the club has imported another consignment.
“We sold all the replica jerseys from the first consignment and we are just waiting for the next consignment.
“We are currently having an overwhelming demand for more from our supporters and well-wishers.
.“People are satisfied with the quality of the jersey. As we speak now, the next consignment is on its way and we expect it in the country in two weeks. We will continue knocking in different doors for support,” explained Ngoma.
Of late, the club made remarkable strides in trying to source funds besides buying its own 32 seater bus.
